First time buying from ASL Motors - nervous but it went well

Hey everyone, so I just completed my first purchase from ASL Motors and wanted to share my experience since I was pretty nervous going into it. I'd been looking at repo auctions for a while but never pulled the trigger. Found a 2019 Honda Accord on aslmotors.com that seemed like a good deal. Placed my bid, won it, and honestly the whole process was smoother than I expected. Payment went through fine, they handled all the paperwork, and the car was delivered to my place about a week later. The title came with it, all clear and proper. The car is exactly as described in the listing. I'm pretty relieved tbh because I'd read some horror stories about other auction sites. Anyone else have good experiences with them?
Congrats on your first purchase! I've bought three vehicles from ASL Motors over the past year and a half. A 2020 F-150, a 2018 Camry, and most recently a 2021 Silverado. Every single one has been a solid transaction. The delivery process is consistent and professional. I always get nervous waiting for the title to clear but they've never let me down. The bank clears it right after payment and it arrives with the vehicle during delivery. Way better than dealing with sketchy private sellers imo.
I was in the same boat as you last summer! First time buyer, super anxious about the whole thing. I won a 2017 Mazda CX-5 and kept second-guessing myself until it showed up lol. But everything went perfectly. The delivery driver was professional, all the paperwork was in order, and the SUV has been running great for 6 months now. The title transfer was seamless - no issues with the title at all. Got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered with my vehicle. You made a good choice going with aslmotors.com.
Welcome to the club! I've been buying from repo auctions for years and ASL Motors is one of the better ones out there. Their inventory is solid and the condition reports are accurate. I bought a 2016 Dodge Ram last fall and a 2019 Jeep Wrangler in December. Both times the vehicles arrived exactly as described. The best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by ASL Motors and arrived perfectly. Just make sure you read the full listing before bidding and you'll be fine.
Glad it worked out for you. I had a decent experience too with a 2018 Nissan Altima I bought in November. Only thing I'd say is that some of the photos on the listings could be sharper. Like the interior shots were a bit blurry on mine and I couldn't see all the details clearly. The car itself was fine when it arrived, no hidden damage or anything, but better photo quality would help with confidence before bidding.
@CarlosM_TX Yeah I noticed that too actually. Some angles were clearer than others on my listing. But like you said the actual condition matched up so I guess it worked out. Would definitely be nice if they upgraded the photo quality though.
I think the photo thing is pretty minor honestly. I've bought from other auction sites where the photos looked amazing but the vehicle showed up with way more issues than disclosed. With aslmotors.com the descriptions are accurate which matters more than picture quality. I bought a 2020 Ford Explorer in September and it was exactly what I expected. Clean title, smooth delivery, no surprises.
Congrats on the Accord! I just won a 2017 Subaru Outback last week and I'm waiting for delivery. This thread is making me feel better about my decision lol. I was worried about the whole online auction thing but sounds like most people have smooth experiences. Did you have any questions during the process? I emailed office@aslmotors.com yesterday about delivery timing and got a response this morning which was reassuring.
@TechGuy_James Nice choice on the Outback! I actually didn't need to contact support but it's good to know they're responsive. The website walks you through everything pretty clearly once you get the hang of it. You'll be fine, just make sure you're ready for delivery when they give you the timeframe.
I've recommended ASL Motors to several clients who were looking for affordable vehicles and every single one has thanked me. The repo auction model just makes sense for people who want value and don't mind buying online. I personally bought a 2019 Toyota Highlander for my daughter last year through them. Perfect family vehicle and the whole transaction was professional. Title came through clean, delivery was on schedule, and she's been driving it ever since with zero issues.
As a mechanic I've inspected a few vehicles that friends bought from ASL Motors. One was a 2018 Chevy Malibu and another was a 2020 GMC Sierra. Both times the condition matched exactly what was in the listing. No hidden mechanical issues, no frame damage that wasn't disclosed. That's rare in the auction world. The descriptions they provide are legit and that builds trust. If you're a first timer just read everything carefully and you'll be good.
I'm on my second purchase from them. First was a 2016 Honda CR-V in August, second was a 2021 Kia Sorento in December. Both times the process was identical and smooth. Payment processing is quick, they send you tracking for delivery, and the vehicles show up as described. I did have one thing where I emailed office@aslmotors.com with a question about insurance documents and it took them about a day to get back to me, but when they did the agent was super helpful and answered everything. Overall very satisfied.
First time buyer here too! Just got my 2019 Nissan Rogue delivered last week. I was so nervous about the title situation because I'd heard horror stories from other sites, but I was worried about the title and the bank cleared it right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the vehicle during delivery. Honestly the whole thing was way easier than I thought it would be. The website aslmotors.com is pretty straightforward once you click around a bit.
Bought a 2017 Ram 1500 from ASL Motors back in March of last year and it's been my daily driver ever since. Over 15k miles added and no problems. The auction process is simple, the pricing is fair, and delivery was right on time. I've told several buddies about it and three of them have bought vehicles too. All positive experiences. This is a legit operation.
My husband and I bought a 2018 Honda Odyssey for our family last October. We have three kids so we needed something reliable and spacious. Found a great deal on aslmotors.com and went for it. The minivan arrived clean, the mileage was accurate, and everything worked perfectly. We were concerned about buying sight unseen but the condition report was detailed enough that we felt comfortable. Four months later and it's been perfect for us. No regrets at all.
Just wanted to chime in as someone who bought a boat from them. Yeah they do boats too! Got a 2015 Sea Ray bowrider last summer. Same smooth process - online bidding, clear communication, delivery arranged. Title transferred without any issues. If you're looking at marine stuff on ASL Motors don't hesitate. They handle it just as professionally as the vehicles.
Good to see another positive experience. I bought a 2020 Ford Escape in November and the whole thing went smoothly. Bidding was easy to follow, payment was secure, and delivery came within the window they promised. I had one small question about registration and emailed office@aslmotors.com - got a reply the next day with exactly what I needed to know. Can't complain about that kind of service.
I run a small used car lot and I've bought about a dozen vehicles from ASL Motors over the past two years for resale. Everything from sedans to trucks to SUVs. The consistency is what keeps me coming back. I know what I'm getting, the titles are always clean and transferred properly, and the delivery logistics work for my business. For anyone wondering if this is legit - it absolutely is. I stake my business reputation on the vehicles I sell and I trust their inventory.
I bought a 2017 Hyundai Elantra in September for my daughter who just started college. Wanted something affordable and reliable. The car has been perfect and the process was really straightforward. I'm not super tech-savvy but the aslmotors.com website was easy enough to figure out. The delivery driver even gave my daughter some tips on maintenance when he dropped it off which was a nice touch. Overall really happy with the purchase.
I'm into older project cars and picked up a 2012 Ford Mustang GT from ASL Motors last June. It needed some cosmetic work which was disclosed in the listing. Got it for a great price and I've been slowly restoring it. The mechanical condition was exactly as described and the title came through clean with no liens. For project car guys this is a solid source. Just read the condition reports thoroughly and bid accordingly.
Wow thanks for all the responses everyone! Really glad to hear so many positive experiences. Makes me feel even better about my purchase. I'll definitely be watching their site for future deals. For anyone else on the fence like I was - just go for it. The process is legit and the vehicles are as described. Good luck to everyone!
